Designing Dreams at South Side on Lamar is a nonprofit artists collective in Dallas, Texas where established and aspiring artists of all ages come to craft and market unique, handcrafted fashion accessories, including:

We also craft and sell hand-sewn and embellished drumstick cases and guitar straps for musicians who want to make a stylish statement.

Our mission--to help all artists achieve their creative potential--is based on the belief that we are all born with the talent and skill to create. We need only nurture and develop that talent.

The brainchild of award-winning leather designer and craftsman Arthur Porter, Designing Dreams offers an intimate and supportive working environment and classes for developing artists. Designing Dreams now features classes for both beginners and veterans where experienced artisans teach adults and children the creative skills needed to learn a new craft or master one already begun. Classes include basic sewing, crafting leather guitar straps, bags and belts and more! All classes are kept small for one-on-one instruction. Call today for prices and availability.
