About Designing Dreams

Designing Dreams is the brainchild of leather craftsman Arthur Porter. This Dallas artist has joined forces with other local artisans to help empower anyone who's interested to translate their artistic dreams into tangible creations.

The mission of Designing Dreams is to help established and aspiring artists to:

Learn new skills by serving as an apprentice in a craft area;

Experiment in new artistic arenas by participating in artist-led workshops like crochet, knitting, jewlery, basic sewing, and leathercraft, among others;

Take an existing creative skill to the next level by designing, creating, showing and selling their work; and

Simply enjoy the pleasure of sharing with others in the creative community at one of Designing Dreams regularly scheduled classes or workshops;

NEW FEATURE!

Designing Dreams ' Young Entrepreneurs program calls aspiring young designers to join us in learning to design, craft and market your own creations. Saturday classes and field trips, summer programs and working with established artists are just part of the YE program.
